Epping Forest District Council are seeking an individual who has experience in housing tenancy management and awareness in the protection and welfare of vulnerable individuals.You’ll manage your own patch of properties, building strong relationships with residents, supporting sustainable tenancies, and creating communities where people are proud to live.
This is a diverse role and rewarding position, where you will tackle everything from tenancy sustainment, tenancy reviews, safeguarding, tenancy audits to investigating tenancy breaches and tackling anti-social behaviour.
As a Tenancy Officer you will work closely with other teams within the Council, its partners, stakeholders, social care and other supporting agencies. You will also play a key role in safeguarding, ensuring residents are linked to the right services and support.
You’ll be a strong communicator, confident in taking action, making decisions and representing the Council in court and multi-agency meetings. You will contribute to improving our housing services through your frontline insight.
We are looking for someone who is resilient, community-minded and understands housing legislation and best practice.
You will be supported by a Senior Tenancy Officer and the Team Manager whose goals are to support our residents and deliver ambitious, innovative, and forward-thinking approaches. You will take collective responsibility for ensuring excellent services are provided to our residents.
