Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Temporary Works Coordinator for major projects in Teesside/Redcar Area. This 12-month role focuses on end-to-end temporary works design, delivery and governance, ensuring safety, compliance and operational excellence on site.

You will oversee coordination with designers, engineers, project leads and regulators, maintaining schedules, reviewing design briefs and managing changes to meet construction timelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex temporary works on major civil engineering, power, or industrial schemes.
• Completed accredited TWC training or recent TWC refresher/update course.
• Up-to-date knowledge of major contractor Temporary Works procedures and BS 5975 standards.
• Track record as an appointed TWC within last 2 years or recent re-appointment training/briefing.
• Desirable degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management; practical competence prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with temporary works designers, site engineers, project leads and external bodies to manage delivery and approvals.
• Compile and maintain the project Temporary Works Schedule with design and site teams.
• Prepare and review design briefs for adequacy; ensure schedules align with construction programme and deadlines.
• Manage design changes with designers; communicate residual risks and issue Temporary Works documentation.
• Ensure on-site governance with drawings for construction; establish inspection hold points before loading or pours.
• Inspect ground preparations, foundations, temporary structures; supervise Temporary Works Supervisors on-site.
