Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator for a flagship energy transition and infrastructure project in Teesside/Redcar. You will oversee design, delivery, and implementation of all temporary works, ensuring safety and compliance across the programme.

Responsibilities include coordinating with designers, engineers, and external bodies; maintaining schedules; reviewing design briefs; managing changes; and upholding on-site governance and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex temporary works on major civil, power, or industrial infrastructure schemes.
• Completed accredited TWC training course or recent TWC refresher/update.
• Knowledge of major contractor Temporary Works procedures and BS 5975 standards.
• Track record as an appointed TWC within the last 2 years (or recent re-appointment training/briefing).
• Practical competence and experience prioritized over formal qualification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with all stakeholders (temporary works designers, site engineers, project leads, external bodies) to manage delivery and approval of schemes.
• Compile, maintain, and review the Temporary Works Schedule with design and site teams.
• Prepare and review design briefs for adequacy and ensure timely delivery within construction programme deadlines.
• Manage design changes with designers and ensure temporary works documentation is issued.
• Ensure on-site governance: follow drawings for construction, and implement inspection hold points with the construction team.
• Inspect ground preparations and temporary structures; supervise Temporary Works Supervisors on-site.
