Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd seeks a seasoned Temporary Works Coordinator to join the Net Zero Teesside project on-site. You will manage all temporary works and ensure compliance with industry standards and site safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting to the Temporary Works Manager, you will collaborate with engineers and sub-contractors, maintain documentation, RAMS and permits, and lead safety controls before work begins.

Qualifications

  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Certification (Essential).
  • Deep knowledge of BS 5975 Code of Practice (Essential).
  • Demonstrated experience acting as TWC on major civil/energy projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Willingness to support milestones with weekend or night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and control all temporary works on-site per BS 5975.
  • Act as main contact for temporary works designs, approvals, inspections, sign-offs.
  • Work daily with Temporary Works Manager, site engineers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain Temporary Works Register and RAMS/docs.
  • Conduct inspections, issue Permits to Load/Unload, enforce safety controls.

Job Type: Full-time, On-site (1-Year Minimum Contract)

Pay Rate: £57.00 - £60.00 per hour + Enhanced Rates for Weekends & Nights

Hours: 50 Hours per Week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) to join a major landmark infrastructure project at Net Zero Teesside. Working full-time on site, you will play a crucial role in maintaining site safety, compliance, and procedural control across complex civil and temporary works operations. Collaborating directly alongside the Temporary Works Manager and the wider Engineering Team, you will oversee the full lifecycle of temporary works schemes in accordance with industry standards and strict site safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and control all temporary works on-site, ensuring strict compliance with BS 5975 (Code of Practice for Temporary Works).
  • Act as the main point of contact for temporary works designs, approvals, inspections, and sign-offs.
  • Collaborate daily with the Temporary Works Manager, site engineers, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth operational workflow.
  • Maintain the Temporary Works Register and ensure accurate documentation, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) are in place.
  • Conduct regular inspections, issue Permits to Load / Unload, and implement necessary safety controls before work commences.
Essential Requirements
  • CITB Temporary Works Coordinator Certification (Essential).
  • Deep working knowledge and practical application of BS 5975 Code of Practice (Essential).
  • Demonstrable experience acting as a TWC on major civil engineering, industrial, or energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to work side-by-side with engineering teams and site management.
  • Flexibility to support project milestones via weekend or night shifts as required.
