Job summary

Hyreus is recruiting an experienced Temporary Works Engineer for a major civil infrastructure project in Cumbria. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and technically managing temporary works across design, site teams and subcontractors in a highly regulated environment.

You will ensure temporary works are properly designed, checked and implemented in accordance with BS 5975 and project requirements, maintaining safety, quality and engineering assurance throughout the construction

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Temporary Works Engineer in civil/ construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of temporary works design, coordination and approvals.
• Experience with major infrastructure projects and Tier One contractors.
• Relevant Civil/Structural engineering degree and professional membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary works across planning, design, approval and removal stages.
• Maintain temporary works registers, schedules and technical documentation.
• Review submissions, drawings and calculations for compliance with project specs.
• Ensure design briefs include loading, ground conditions and construction sequences.
• Support site teams in safe implementation, inspection and removal.
