Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Temporary Works Engineer for Exeter. You will deliver safe, cost-effective temporary works solutions for UK and international projects and work within a collaborative design team.

The role requires at least three years in a design-based engineering role, with strong temporary works knowledge and BS 5975. You will contribute to various projects and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent IT and technical software skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality temporary works designs for construction projects.
• Produce engineering calculations, drawings, and design documentation.
• Plan, design, and coordinate temporary works using industry standards.
• Carry out site visits, inspections, and surveys for safe, practical solutions.
• Provide technical support to colleagues and clients while managing multiple projects.
• Develop technical knowledge and stay up-to-date with CDM 2015 guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
