Job summary

Kier Group plc in the UK is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to support the Kier Design team in delivering complex construction engineering services. You will lead temporary works design and checks, integrate with permanent works, and contribute to tender feasibility studies.

You will develop client relationships, manage design deliverables such as calculations, drawings, and risk assessments, and drive project delivery while complying with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction engineering services.
• Working towards or completed IEng Initial Professional Development.
• Level 6 or 7 engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead temporary works design and checking, integrated with permanent works as applicable.
• Support tender and bid activities including outline design schemes and feasibility studies.
• Manage project delivery, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and policies.
• Develop positive client relationships and act as lead representative at meetings.
• Oversee production of design deliverables including calculations, drawings, reports and risk assessments.
