Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Temporary Works professional to join the Civil Works Programme. You will coordinate with design and client teams to ensure temporary works are correctly designed, documented and approved for offshore and on-site activities.

Responsibilities include updating schedules, reviewing designs with the Temporary Works Designer, and ensuring adherence to the construction programme. A strong background in temporary works and relevant training is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential offshore experience for this role with lifting knowledge.
• Must have attended a Balfour Beatty TWC training course or approved equivalent.
• Briefing on roles and delegated responsibilities by DI and updating BMS Temporary Works procedures.
• If first appointment, recent TWC training within 2 years or equivalent recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with all parties in design and construction of temporary works.
• Determine schemes affecting public safety and obtain approvals and certifications.
• Ensure procedures are understood and followed by the client’s Temporary Works team.
• Compile and update a Temporary Works Schedule and review with design leads.
• Oversee adequate Temporary Works design for all schemes and assess competence.
