Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Co-ordinator for a major construction project in Teesside. The role requires strong technical knowledge, coordination across designers, clients and on-site teams, and a focus on safety and compliance.

You will manage temporary works design, approvals, scheduling and supervision throughout the project lifecycle. On-site, UK-wide regulatory standards apply.

Qualifications

  • Experience in temporary works to match the type and complexity of the assigned project.
  • Completion of an industry-approved Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) training course, or an equivalent update/refresher course.
  • Knowledge of Temporary Works procedures and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Evidence of competence through recent training, knowledge and experience within the last 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with all parties involved in the design and construction of temporary works.
  • Liaise with clients to determine if schemes impact the public and manage approval processes.
  • Compile and regularly update Temporary Works Schedules and review with designers and project leads.
  • Ensure that an adequate Temporary Works design is produced and approved.
  • Supervise and assess the competence of Temporary Works Supervisors alongside the Project Lead.
  • Review the design brief for adequacy before issuing it to the designer.
  • Monitor the timing of designs, checks and construction to align with project schedules.
  • Oversee inspections and ensure temporary works are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
