Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Temporary Works Advisor to join the Construction Engineering team across multiple locations in the UK. You will guide temporary works implementation, support tendering, and act as a trusted technical resource to ensure safe, buildable solutions on diverse projects.

Ideal candidates will have IEng/CEng progress or Level 6/7 qualifications with relevant experience, plus a collaborative mindset to work with clients and internal teams while upholding Kier's safety and

Qualifications

IEng Initial Professional Development or CEng progress with a recognised institution such as ICE.
Level 6 or Level 7 qualification with relevant experience in temporary works or construction engineering.
Collaborative approach with clients, teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Advise on the implementation of the Group Temporary Works Standard with technical guidance on design and implementation.
Support tender and bid processes with outline design schemes and feasibility studies focused on buildability.
Review third-party designs to ensure compliance with Kier and client requirements.
Provide technical support via help desk, acting as a centre of engineering excellence.
Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections and represent Kier in meetings with stakeholders.
