Job summary

Lush Crawley is seeking a Temporary Sales Assistant to join our Retail team during the festive season. This part-time, seasonal role offers flexible 4-hour shifts and a pay rate of £13.45 per hour, with opportunities for extra hours.

You'll be the face of the store, delivering friendly, product-led service and helping to drive sales while upholding our Living Wage commitments and high standards of customer care. Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming store environment.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations, and offer product demonstrations.

• Assist in hosting in-store parties and workshops, providing a memorable and inclusive experience for customers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and visually appealing shop floor.

• Manage stock levels efficiently, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and ready for our customers to shop from.

The role In this role, you’ll be the face of the store, welcoming customers and providing a fun, engaging shopping experience. You’ll use your product knowledge to offer personalised recommendations, perform product demonstrations, and hand out tailored samples. Working closely with your team, you’ll help drive sales, exceed targets, and create memorable in-store events that keep customers coming back. You'll also manage stock, ensure the shop floor looks its best, and adapt displays to seasonal trends. With flexible shifts, a competitive hourly rate based on the Living Wage, and opportunities for bonuses, you’ll be well-supported through training and development to grow your skills.

Key Information Hours available: 4 hours per week initially, with opportunity for more hours further into the festive season.

Shop floor trial shifts: Week commencing: 14/9/26 (Morning and afternoon slots available)

Induction/Start Date: Week commencing: 28/9/26

The Interview Process: Response by 5th September end of day. You may hear from us before this date. We will not be able to respond to any application follow ups until after this date has passed due to the volume of applications we receive.

Next stage: In person group interview

What to expect: The group interviews will take place on the shop floor, after hours and will last between 1 - 1 and a half hours. During the interview, there will be a number of activities based around getting to know you a little more and getting hands on with product demonstrations. Don't worry if you haven't done it before, we will give you the info you need.

Second stage: Shop Floor Trial

What to expect: The shop floor trials last around 1- 1 and a half hours. We invite you to join us as a member of staff on shop floor and put into practice product demonstrations you picked up during your interview as well as others we will show you on the day. As Christmas is our busiest time of year, we're looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in on the shop floor and have fun with our products and customers.
