Longwill Primary School for Deaf Children in Birmingham invites applications for a Temporary Teacher of the Deaf (MPS/UPS + SEN 1/2) to start in Spring/Summer terms 2027. You will teach Deaf pupils in a sign bilingual setting, with commitment to CPD and developing signing skills to Level 3+.
The post requires QToD or training to become a Qualified Teacher of the Deaf, and strong communication with families and staff.
Our outstanding innovative and welcoming primary special school caters for children between the ages of 2 – 11 years old who are Deaf and require a sign bilingual education. We are currently funded for 65 places. The school has a national reputation as a centre of excellence in Deaf Education. We seek to appoint an excellent Teacher of the Deaf committed to providing high-quality learning opportunities, so that Deaf children can reach their potential within our bilingual setting.
