Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network is seeking a temp support worker/mothers help to assist a young mother who is a single parent living with an electric wheelchair. The role involves morning personal care, dressing, light housework, and cooking meals, with some flexibility for school holidays and occasional evenings.

Hours are 10–16 per week, with a rate of £13.45 per hour. A PVG check and two references are required; driving is preferred to help with outings and transport.

Qualifications

• PVG check required and two references (one from last employer)
• Driving preferred
• Experience in personal care and helping with dressing in mornings
• Moving and handling experience advantageous (lady uses a wheelchair)
• Support with cooking wholesome meals and light housework including laundry, bed changing and hoovering

Responsibilities

• Assist with morning dressing and getting ready for the day
• Provide personal care support as needed
• Carry out light housework and laundry; assist with bed changing and hoovering
• Prepare and cook wholesome family meals
• Support to help the lady get out and about, accompany on outings when possible
• Occasional evening shifts and flexible hours to accommodate school holidays and appointments
