Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking an entry-level Claims Representative to investigate, evaluate, and adjust general, property damage and auto liability claims for a large client. Responsibilities include interviewing claimants, medical providers, and witnesses; calculating payments within limits; and maintaining records in the claims system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with insurance claims, self-insurance, pooled insurance, or JPA preferred.
• At least two years of using Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel, Outlook (no PowerPoint).
• At least two years of using streaming video conferencing (Teams and Zoom).
• At least two years of using claims management software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and determine liability for personal, casualty, auto or property loss; attempt to settle with claimants.
• Correspond with or interview medical specialists, agents, witnesses, or claimants to compile information; calculate and approve payments within limits.
• Investigate claims and assess vehicle/property damage; gather and review records.
