Triumph Motorcycles in Hinckley is offering an IT Industrial Placement for undergraduates for the 2027/28 academic year. You will support the IT team with hardware inventory, imaging and builds, mobile device setup, DOA testing, and loan management to keep our operations running smoothly.

This placement emphasizes hands-on experience with our IT infrastructure while you study, and it requires GCSEs and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Maths and English (GCSE grade C/5 or above).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Open to university students studying IT or Computer Science for the 2027/28 placement year.

Responsabilités

• Stock Management: oversee inventory of PCs, laptops, printers, mobiles and cables.
• Imaging and Builds: image and build PCs and laptops for rapid deployment.
• Mobile Telephony Setup: assist in configuring mobile devices.
• DOA Testing: perform Dead on Arrival testing for IT assets.
• Ordering and Loan Management: manage IT consumables and loan equipment.

Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities crucial to our IT infrastructure, including:

• Stock Management: Oversee the inventory of hardware such as PCs, laptops, printers, mobile phones, and cables, ensuring everything is accounted for and readily available.
• Imaging and Builds: Handle the imaging and builds of PCs and laptops, guaranteeing immediate availability of equipment to meet operational demands.
• Mobile Telephony Setup: Assist in setting up and configuring mobile telephones, ensuring seamless communication for our team.
• DOA Testing: Conduct DOA (Dead on Arrival) testing for all received hardware to maintain the quality and reliability of our IT assets.
• Ordering and Loan Management: Manage the ordering of IT consumables and oversee the booking-in and out of loan equipment, keeping everything organised and efficient.

Role Requirements:

• Possess a solid foundation in Maths and English (GCSE grade C / 5 or above).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential for success in this role.
• Only open to university students who are studying an IT or Computer science related undergraduate degree looking for a student placement for the academic year 2027/28.
