Job summary

Sevenoaks District Council is hiring a Housing Resettlement and Accommodation Officer to join the Housing Options and Solutions Team in Sevenoaks. You will support the delivery of temporary accommodation, resettlement and housing support services.

Qualifications

• Local authority housing experience and advising customers.
• Understanding Housing Act 1996 Part VII and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Responsibilities

• Handle enquiries, coordinate property matching and move-ins and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with securing and managing temporary or alternative accommodation and support resettlement activity.
• Carry out welfare and residence checks for Mother and Baby unit and contribute to housing service improvements and new legislation.
