Job summary

Reed is seeking a Temporary Finance Manager to lead core finance processes in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The role centers on day-to-day financial operations with ownership of essential accounting duties.

The successful candidate will manage VAT returns, PAYE and pensions, oversee weekly and monthly payroll, and maintain ledgers up to Trial Balance, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processes (weekly and monthly).
• VAT, PAYE and pension administration.
• Ledger management and reconciliations.
• Preparation of financial data up to Trial Balance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT Returns.
• Manage PAYE and pension contributions.
• Oversee payroll weekly and monthly for ~50 weekly employees and 10–12 monthly/weekly staff.
• Maintain and reconcile sales and purchase ledgers.
• Produce accounts up to Trial Balance.
• Support general finance operations and compliance with regulations.
• Assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
