Scottish Borders Council is seeking an Early Learning and Childcare practitioner to support day-to-day delivery of ELC services. You will help organize high-quality spaces, plan engaging activities for children, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment both indoors and outdoors.

Essential qualifications include HNC in Childhood Practice or related SVQs, with GTCS registration or commitment to obtain it within 3 months. Strong teamwork and liaison with families are important.

Qualificações

• At least one of the listed qualifications is required.
• Full registration with GTCS or within 3 months of appointment with the SSSC and maintain registration during employment.

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day delivery and organisation of ELC (early learning and childcare).
• Contribute to planning processes to meet the needs of individual children in an inclusive setting.
• Set up high-quality spaces and resources for learning, indoors and outdoors.
• Observe and record observations to contribute to assessment and moderation.
• Liaise with parents and multi-disciplinary teams and support ELC students on placement.
