Job summary

Term Time Teachers seeks a Design & Technology Teacher in Cranbrook to deliver engaging lessons across secondary year groups. You will inspire creativity, practical skills and understanding while upholding high standards of behaviour and achievement.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, has DT teaching experience in a secondary setting, and can differentiate to meet diverse learner needs. Role runs until December 2026 with supportive consultancy throughout the placement.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT.
• Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Engage and motivate students of different abilities.
• Available to commit through to December 2026.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons.
• Teach across secondary year groups and abilities.
• Develop students' practical, creative and technical skills.
• Differentiate lessons to meet all learners' needs.
• Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
