Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a qualified Design Technology teacher to work across East Birmingham. The role covers KS3/KS4 and GCSE delivery, with responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment for longer-term projects. Suitable candidates will have QTS/QTLS and strong subject knowledge in DT.

Qualifications

• Qualified Design Technology teacher with strong subject knowledge across Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or related DT areas.
• Confident classroom management and experience in a secondary school environment.
• ECT Design Technology teachers are encouraged to apply alongside experienced teachers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering GCSE courses within your specialist area.
• Plan, mark and assess longer-term assignments.
• Work as part of the school’s DT department to support student progress.
