Job summary

Genesis Employment Services Ltd is seeking a Temporary Credit Controller based at our Coventry site to protect cash flow by securing payment of outstanding invoices and maintaining an accurate sales ledger.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role involves contacting customers by phone and email, investigating discrepancies, reconciling accounts and providing regular aged debt updates to the Finance team. Office-based, 08:30–17:00, Monday to Friday, until Christmas 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in independently managing credit control, accounts receivable or a sales ledger.
• Good numeracy with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor customer accounts, reviewing aged debt and prioritising collection activity.
• Contact customers by telephone and email to secure payment of overdue invoices.
• Issue customer statements, invoice copies and other supporting documentation as required.
• Investigate invoice queries, disputed balances, and account discrepancies, liaising with internal teams to resolve.
