Job summary

Borough Kitchen Limited is seeking temporary Christmas Sales Associates for our Islington store during the busy festive period. Flexible weekend and bank holiday availability is essential, with part-time or full-time hours and an hourly rate of £14.80.

You’ll join a close-knit team during peak trading, delivering exceptional customer service and helping with stock, merchandising and after-sales support. Full product and sales training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent customer experience through friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service.
• Welcome customers, understand needs and confidently recommend products.
• Build positive relationships to encourage repeat visits.
• Replenish stock and keep shop floor well-presented and trader-ready.
• Support merchandising, displays and store standards.
• Process purchases, arrange deliveries and assist with after-sales inquiries.
• Identify opportunities to recommend complementary products and online items.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day store operations during busy periods.

Location: Islington, London N1 1QP

Contract: Fixed-term, November–December 2026

Hours: Part-time or full-time, including weekends and bank holidays

Hourly rate: £14.80

Store opening hours: 10am–6pm, Monday to Sunday

Christmas availability: Candidates must be available to work during our busiest Christmas trading period, particularly the weekends leading up to Christmas, Christmas Eve and Boxing Day (26 December). Flexibility to work additional shifts during peak trading periods is highly desirable.

Please note that weekend and bank holiday availability is essential for this role.

Borough Kitchen is looking for enthusiastic and friendly Temporary Christmas Sales Associates to join our Islington team during the busy festive season.

Christmas is one of our busiest and most exciting times of the year, so we're looking for team members who are flexible, reliable and happy to work as part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities to recommend complementary products, special orders and items from our online shop.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, particularly during busy trading periods.
