Job summary

Simply Education Ltd in Strood is seeking an Attendance Improvement Co-ordinator – Secondary School for a temporary maternity cover. You will work with pupils and families to improve attendance and punctuality, liaising with pastoral, safeguarding and SEND teams, and coordinating with external agencies as needed.

Strong data-handling skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in school attendance, pastoral support, or safeguarding.
• Ability to analyse attendance data and identify trends.
• Ability to maintain confidential records in line with GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance data and identify trends and persistent absence.
• Identify barriers to attendance and implement appropriate interventions.
• Meet with pupils and parents to discuss attendance issues and actions.
• Maintain accurate records and agreed actions from attendance meetings.
• Coordinate with safeguarding, SEND, and pastoral teams and external agencies.
• Prepare attendance reports and share findings with stakeholders.
