Job Description:
  • Establish relationships with accommodation providers and their staff.
  • Contribute to the development and achievement of the annual business and service plans, policies, and procedures to ensure high standards.
  • Monitor service provider contracts to meet objectives.
  • Manage contract liaison with managing agents and landlords.
  • Develop partnerships with the corporate procurement service for scheme development.
  • Ensure all leased property documentation, insurances, and certificates are obtained and verified.
  • Respond to complaints related to temporary accommodation.
  • Mentor new staff and staff from other areas on legislation, procedures, duties, and property acquisition guidance.
Requirements:
  • High education certificate, NVQ level 4, HND, BTEC Professional, or equivalent, or demonstrable experience.
  • Good knowledge of homelessness legislation (1996 Housing Act).
  • Understanding of housing benefit rules, welfare benefits, and private rented tenancy issues.
  • Experience in the private rented housing sector.
  • Knowledge of temporary accommodation issues, aspirations, and vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (dated within last 12 months). If on the update service, you may be fast-tracked.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.
