Job summary

Conwy County Borough Council invites applications for a Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Ysgol Y Gogarth in Llandudno. The post is a fixed term contract commencing November 2026 until 31/08/2027.

The successful applicant will support access to learning for pupils with Additional Learning Needs and assist the class teacher with day-to-day classroom management. Welsh language ability is desirable and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs is desirable.
• The ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh is desirable.
• Comprehensive training will be provided to support learners.

Responsibilities

• Support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in managing pupils and the classroom.
• Assist with the day-to-day classroom management and learning activities.
• Support school-based training and development opportunities as part of the role.
