Job summary

Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Tal-y-bont is recruiting two Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils and assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons. The roles are fixed-term until 19 March 2027 and 31 August 2027, with potential extension.

The successful candidates will be fluent in Welsh and English, have experience with children, hold NVQ 3 or equivalent, and be adept with ICT to aid learning, safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• We require fluency in Welsh and English.
• Experience working with or caring for children.
• Holds NVQ 3 or equivalent with good literacy/numeracy.
• Can use ICT effectively to support learning.
• Positive, flexible and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.
• Work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
• Support development of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and wider school activities.
