HRGO Recruitment is seeking a School Catering General Assistant in Thurrock. The role is temporary, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 9:00 to 15:30. You will assist in preparing and serving meals to students and staff while maintaining high hygiene standards and customer service.

Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (registered on the online updated service) and a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, with strong teamwork and organizational skills for a fast-paced school kitchen environment.

Competenze

• Previous experience in a catering or food service role is required.
• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS (MUST be registered on the online updated service)
• Basic level 2 food hygiene certificate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings and afternoons.

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the school menu.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with the setup and clearing of the dining area before and after meal times.

• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Catering Manager.
