Job summary

Kellan Group is recruiting a reliable Catering Assistant for a Taunton school. The role focuses on food preparation, service and maintaining hygiene standards in a small catering team.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, on a temporary basis with potential for temp-to-perm or permanent placement. DBS on Update Service is essential, with opportunities for ongoing work and a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential.
• Previous catering/kitchen assistant experience is desirable.
• Strong awareness of food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving food to staff and pupils.
• Support kitchen setup and cleaning before and after service.
• Ensure health, safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained.
• Restock supplies and assist with deliveries as needed.
• Work efficiently as part of a small, friendly catering team.
