Job summary

Aspire People is seeking experienced School Caretakers for temporary placements in local schools. Candidates with prior caretaker or site manager roles are preferred, and hands-on plumbing, carpentry, painting or general maintenance experience is welcome.

Roles require flexibility to work between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm across full-day or split shifts. All successful applicants will undergo registration and Enhanced DBS checks (costs apply unless already held).

Qualifications

• Experience as a School Caretaker or Site Manager is advantageous.
• Relevant plumbing, carpentry, painting or general maintenance experience is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Site security: ensure school buildings and grounds are secure.
• Maintenance and repairs: perform general repairs and routine upkeep.
• Health and safety: help maintain a safe environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• General upkeep: keep premises clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Event support: assist with setup and preparation of school events and activities.
