Butler Rose is assisting a large international manufacturing organisation in Wantage to recruit an Assistant Payroll Manager on a 3-month contract. You will work closely with the Payroll Manager to deliver accurate payroll processing in a fast-paced environment.

The role covers end-to-end payroll processing, compliance with UK payroll legislation, HMRC RTI submissions, and day-to-day payroll operations. A hands-on, detail-focused teammate is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Previous UK payroll experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Sage, SAP, or similar.
• Strong Excel and data management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Supporting end-to-end payroll processing
• Managing salary changes, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Resolving payroll queries and discrepancies
• Assisting with HMRC compliance, RTI submissions, and year-end activities
• Preparing payroll reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Supporting and guiding payroll team members
