Job summary

Sure Call Recruitment & AFE Recruitment seeks professional HGV Class 1 drivers for a 6–10 week trunking contract across Stoke-on-Trent, Milton Keynes and Bristol. Role focuses on depot-to-depot trunking with minimal manual handling.

Premium base pay ranges from £21.44 to £25.32 per hour, with fully funded hotel accommodation, daily meals, a £15 daily subsistence, and a £240 weekly relocation bonus, plus mileage reimbursement for UK travel.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card must be valid.
• Clean driving record preferred (up to 6 minor points; no DR/DD/IN).

Responsibilities

• Trunking operations: transport mail and parcels depot-to-depot.
• Adhere to scheduled hub-to-hub timetables.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Comply with EU Drivers' Hours and tachograph regulations.
• Minimal manual handling; mainly drop-and-swap or depot-assisted offloading.
