Job summary

Confidential in Witney is seeking a Temporary Finance Manager to own the finance function and support growth. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead month-end and year-end reporting, manage cash flow and provide insights for commercial decisions.

The role covers finance, supplier management, and HR, with hands-on responsibility and leadership of the finance team. Flexible hours for full or part-time arrangements.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting qualification or degree with demonstrable experience
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills
• Advanced Excel and Sage 50 experience
• Proven leadership, organisational and communication abilities
• Experience handling HR matters and negotiating supplier contracts

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and year-end processes
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Manage cash flow, credit control and working capital
• Oversee stock valuation, levels and inventory efficiency
• Manage payroll, VAT returns, statutory reporting and audits
• Monitor performance, identify variances and enforce controls
• Lead and develop the finance team
• Support HR activities including recruitment and policy development
• Negotiate supplier contracts and drive cost efficiencies
