Job summary

The Recruitment Group is seeking a Temporary Finance Manager to own the finance function in a growing business in Witney. You will report to the Managing Director and oversee month-end, year-end reporting, cash flow and working capital, providing financial insight to support commercial decisions.

This hands-on role covers finance, commercial operations, supplier management and HR, with responsibility for a small finance team and payroll, VAT, and audits. Open to full or part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified in accountancy or equivalent with demonstrable experience.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Advanced Excel and Sage 50 experience.
• Leadership, organisational and communication abilities; HR and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and year-end processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Manage cash flow, credit control and working capital.
• Oversee stock valuation and inventory efficiency.
• Manage payroll, VAT, audits and statutory reporting.
• Monitor performance, identify variances and implement controls.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Support HR activities including recruitment and contracts.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and drive cost efficiencies.
