Job summary

Musgrave Group Plc in Belfast is seeking a Telesales Operator for our MarketPlace Belfast Office to build relationships, handle inbound calls, process orders, and promote Musgrave and Drinks Inc product ranges. You will identify customer needs and deliver solutions to drive satisfaction, retention and sales growth.

You should have at least 1 year's experience in telesales or customer service, excellent communication skills, and a professional telephone manner.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for sales and service.

As a Telesales Operator, you will be the trusted voice of our business, working closely with customers to process orders, introduce new products, highlight promotional offers, and provide outstanding support. Your ability to understand customer needs and deliver solutions will be key to driving customer satisfaction, retention, and sales growth.

What you'll be doing:

Handle inbound customer calls, providing expert product knowledge and support.

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication.

Promote Musgrave and Drinks Inc product ranges to new and existing customers.

Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales through cross-selling and upselling.

Inform customers of current promotions, new product launches, and seasonal offers.

Support customer retention and business growth through a positive and professional customer experience.

Liaise with Business Development Managers and Sales Representatives on customer enquiries, pricing, and service requests.

Set up new customer accounts and assist with contract administration and reviews.

Conduct outbound sales calls to engage customers and generate additional sales opportunities.

Maintain accurate customer records using internal systems.

Keep up to date with market trends and developments within the wholesale, foodservice, and drinks sectors.

Support wider team objectives and undertake additional duties as required.

What we are looking for:

At least 1 year's experience in telesales, customer service, sales support, or a busy office environment.

Strong communication skills with a professional and confident telephone manner.

Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience processing customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Ability to work to service level agreements (SLAs), targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

A proactive, positive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have:

Previous experience within wholesale, foodservice, FMCG, or hospitality industries.

Experience using order processing or CRM systems, such as Remedy.

Knowledge of customer account setup and contract administration.

A proven ability to identify and convert sales opportunities during customer interactions.

Understanding of market trends and customer needs within wholesale or foodservice environments.
