Who Are We?

B&M Waste Services is a customer-centric, forward-thinking waste and recycling solutions provider with depots located on the Wirral, in Manchester, Preston, Leeds, Birmingham, and Sheffield. Our award-winning business is seeking a talented, hardworking, and ambitious Business Development Manager to help us grow and be part of the wider Beauparc Group.

We offer a competitive basic salary of £25,000 plus an uncapped commission structure with on-target earnings of £37,400.

This role primarily involves new business activities such as cold calling, direct sales, and appointment setting, along with lead generation.

Responsibilities
  1. Cold calling; business-to-business, always presenting B&M professionally, selling features and benefits of our services.
  2. Upselling waste and recycling solutions to existing customers.
  3. Providing excellent customer service.
  4. Closing deals over the telephone effectively.
  5. Handling all inbound enquiries assigned to you.
  6. Pre-qualifying opportunities to ensure they meet 'business fit' and pass credit checks.
  7. Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities.
  8. Accurately collating prospect information and updating CRM daily with the sales support team.
  9. Completing weekly KPI sheets.
  10. Participating in fortnightly/monthly sales meetings.
  11. Booking appointments with target organizations' key management to present our offerings.
  12. Cross-selling additional services such as shredding, hazardous waste, and national solutions.
  13. Assisting the Administration and Service Teams with the implementation of new services.

About You
  1. Previous successful telesales experience (telemarketing/appointment booking).
  2. Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B) selling, in person or over the phone.
  3. Confident on the telephone with rapport-building skills.
  4. Knowledge of the waste industry is advantageous.
  5. Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  6. Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English.
