Role Purpose

This role, covering the Thames Valley area for Thames Water, aims to modify control panels and telemetry equipment at various sites across the region. This includes telemetry outstation replacements and MultiSmart systems.

The Role

Contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Travel time paid door to door. Overtime during weekends paid at an inflated rate.

  • Responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671, Bridges Electrical Safety Rules, and Essential Standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
  • Follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment; empowered to stop work if unsafe circumstances arise.
  • Promote and demonstrate Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers, and clients.
  • Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.

Requirements

  • ECS Gold Card (essential)
  • Experience with telemetry outstation replacements or MultiSmart systems
  • Panel wiring/modifications experience
  • Experience within industrial sectors, ideally water industry
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Always follow best practices with a positive attitude towards Health and Safety
  • Full UK driving license
  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space certifications
  • EUSR & Thames Water Passport
  • Inspection and testing certification
  • Emergency First Aid or First Aider qualification
  • CCNSG or similar safety training
  • CompEx certification
