Job summary

Hargreaves Industrial Services is seeking Telehandler Operators to support sludge handling and movements on wastewater treatment sites across Yorkshire. The role requires operating telehandlers, maintaining safety, and traveling between sites as needed, including nights and weekends.

The candidate should have strong safety awareness, hands-on experience with related plant equipment, and be able to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of site safety standards.
• Experience operating centrifuges and conveyors.
• Follow safety instructions and procedures.
• Undertake site-specific training as required.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to work overtime.
• Good communication with colleagues and clients at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate telehandler including use of bucket to load trucks.
• Monitor all equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; take action on abnormal conditions.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and equipment.
• Carry out daily checks on equipment (centrifuges, conveyors, polymer plant) and report defects.
• Monitor product throughput.
• Carry out additional tasks such as greasing and preventative maintenance.
