Job summary

Hargreaves Industrial Services is recruiting a Telehandler Operator for our Yorkshire Water contract, based in the Sheffield and Wakefield area. The role involves safe telehandler operations and supporting sludge handling and movements at wastewater sites.

We require flexibility to travel between sites, occasional nights and weekends, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety. 40-hour week, permanent position, with standard benefits and a closing date of 20 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of site safety standards and procedures.
• Experience operating centrifuges and related equipment (poly make-up plant and conveyors).
• Ability to follow site rules and safety instructions.
• Willingness to undertake site-specific training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telehandler operations including use of bucket to load trucks.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; take action on abnormal conditions.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards of work areas and equipment.
• Carry out daily checks on equipment such as centrifuges, conveyors and poly make-up plant; report defects and consumables.
• Monitor product throughput and report findings.
• Carry out greasing and preventative maintenance as trained.
