Job summary

Hargreaves Industrial Services is seeking Telehandler Operators for the Yorkshire Water contract covering Sheffield and Wakefield. The role supports sludge handling and movements at wastewater sites, with potential travel between sites including nights and weekends as required.

You will perform telehandler operations, monitor safety, conduct daily checks, and maintain housekeeping. A valid telehandler license, safety focus, and flexible, independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid telehandler license required.
• Good understanding of site safety rules and procedures.
• Experience with centrifuges, conveyors or related plant is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel between sites and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

• Operate telehandler to load trucks using the bucket.
• Monitor equipment for safety and efficiency; act on abnormal conditions.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
• Carry out daily checks on equipment and report defects.
• Monitor product throughput and assist as required.
• Perform additional tasks such as greasing and preventive maintenance.
