Job summary

Rubicon Consulting is recruiting for a Telehandler on a 13-month contract based in Alyth. The role involves assisting a site team on mechanical installation activities and reporting to the Site Supervisor.

You will be required to work safely, follow QEHS procedures, and support project milestones with timely task completion. Applicants should have Apprentice training with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and relevant site experience; industry recognised training for Power/Construction is also

Qualifications

• Must be Apprentice trained with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), plus 1 year experience.
• Or industry recognised training with at least 2 years on an Electricity Supply Industry site or similar.
• Ability to comply with health, safety, and quality standards on site.

Job description

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Telehandler on a 13 Month Contract, based in Alyth.

Role Summary

Main Purposes of Job

1. This role is to assist work within a site team on mechanical installation activities.
2. Reports to Site Supervisor, or chargehand as required by deployment.
3. Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times.

Key Tasks

1. Works to all applicable QEHS procedures as briefed in the site induction.
2. Carries out any other duties within their competence to the relevant quality / industry standards as directed by the Site Supervisor.
3. Operate within timescales set out by their Work Party Leader and highlight potential deviations in advance.

Key results/ Objectives

1. Adhere to the site rules as briefed to them by the Chargehand, Site Supervisor / Site Manager.
2. Comply with the Health and Safety, Environmental & Quality Plans and know their duties to be discharged in each case. Carrying out actions and assist in creating required documentation within the project mile-stone dates
3. Proactively participate in the completion of all task cards allocated to their team to the required timescale and comply with timesheet and expenses submission timescales.

Requirements

• Apprentice trained, C&G Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Ap-propriate Course) plus 1 years experience. Or an industry recognised training with a minimum of 2 years experience as part of a team on an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar (Power Generation, Oil & Gas or General Construction Sites).
• Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation / practice within a substation environment, for example, National Grid, SSE, SPEN etc.
• Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively work within a team or individually as required.
