Job Purpose:

This role supports the General Counsel in developing and implementing nexfibre’s regulatory and compliance strategies. Operating within a small team, the individual will handle critical projects like the Telecoms Access Review and engage with regulators such as Ofcom, DSIT, BDUK, and industry trade associations.

Initially, the role involves developing compliance and security policies for nexfibre and managing these policies ongoing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment focused on excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Stay updated on regulatory trends and best practices.
  • Provide strategic regulatory advice to senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with telecoms regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to regulatory engagement strategies and policy development.
  • Lead or support regulatory meetings and responses to government inquiries.
  • Develop and oversee compliance policies related to telecoms security.
  • Promote awareness and training on regulatory requirements.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Deep understanding of UK telecoms law and regulation; experience advising within the industry, either in-house, consultancy, or law firms.
  • Experience managing regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to simplify complex matters.
  • Autonomous and collaborative, acting as a business adviser.
  • Capable of multitasking and working effectively under pressure with high energy and a strong work ethic.
