Job title: Telecoms Patch Manager

Our Field teams are crucial in delivering our contracts, whether through maintenance, installation, cabling, or civils works. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, connected and protected 24/7.

What you'll do:

Reporting to and directed by the Area Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing subcontractor suppliers in their contractual tasks.
  • Providing regular project status reports.
  • Driving a culture of health and safety and managing it throughout.
  • Resource planning and confirmation.
  • Managing in-life issues and reporting.

Through your team of Field Agents, oversee all programmed works to completion on site and engineering. Promote safety, quality, and streetworks performance across the supply chain. Work with local suppliers and the telent PMO to ensure delivery targets and customer priorities are met, maintaining compliance with telent's systems and handling escalations and complaints.

Work with suppliers to scale and scope their workforce in line with contractual terms. Provide line management and direction to a team of Field Agents.

Who you are:

Key requirements:

  • Experience in a delivery/operational management role.
  • Supervisory experience in civils, pole, or cable gangs in the highways network.
  • NRSWA Unit 2 & 10
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Additional training within 6 months of appointment, including Incident Investigation, Root Cause Analysis, Hot Job Monitoring, Negotiation Skills, First Aid at Work (Appointed Person/Awareness), Managing Temporary Works, and use of tools like Solo, Qlikview, Connect Mobile, and Business Acumen.
