Job summary

BDS (Northern) Limited in Hereford is seeking a Telecare Field Technician to join our emergency response service. You will install, repair, or replace telecare equipment in customers' homes and supported housing, often working alone in the field.

The role is Monday to Friday with on-call shifts on a rota (nights and weekends). A company vehicle is provided, and you must hold a Full UK driving license. Training and on-call support are available.

Qualifications

• Caring, calm approach with good communication.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Full UK driving license; company vehicle provided.
• Basic IT skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair or replace telecare equipment.
• Provide calm, empathetic reassurance and explain how to use the equipment.
• Assess situations and take appropriate action in line with procedures and training.
• Accurately updating service user records and documentation using our systems.
• Work safely and independently while remaining connected to the wider team.
