Fusion People Ltd. in Derby is seeking a Tekla Draughtsman with 3+ years of Tekla Structures experience to join our drawing office.

You will produce detailed 3D models and GA drawings for structural steel projects, supporting fabrication and site installation. Key tasks include take-offs, modelling to drawings, coordinating with engineering and workshop teams, and preparing fabrication drawings in line with standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' experience using Tekla Structures within the structural steelwork industry.
• Proven experience producing structural steel detailing and fabrication drawings.
• A strong understanding of structural steelwork fabrication and installation processes.
• The ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Experience interpreting connection calculations and accurately incorporating them into models and drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsabilités

• Produce take-offs and build estimating models from project information.
• Create and develop structural steelwork models using Tekla Structures in accordance with engineering and architectural drawings, reference models and connection calculations.
• Generate accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings in line with company standards and project requirements.
• Raise and support Technical Queries (TQs) where required.
• Ensure all models and drawings are accurate, coordinated and delivered in line with project programmes and deadlines.
• Liaise effectively with the engineering, workshop and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
