Job summary

The Highfield Company is seeking a Structural Draughtsman in Manchester to join the drawing office on a hybrid basis. You will model and detail steel framed buildings for UK and overseas markets, producing general arrangements, site installation drawings and fabrication drawings to support manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in a similar role and can manage workloads to tight deadlines. Salary £40,000–£50,000 with a range of benefits; contact Rebecca Willis for details.

Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings.
• Ability to prepare fabrication and installation drawings to tight deadlines.
• Experience using Tekla 3D detailing software.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings and structures.

• Create fabrication drawings and edit for accurate steelwork manufacture.
• Prepare manufacture & purchase lists and bolt/location schedules.

Role: Structural Draughtsman
Location: Manchester
Salary £40,000 - £50,000

Our client are a leading global steel business, with a solid reputation and can boast some of the UK's most prestigious projects to date.

Due to continued success they are now seeking an additional Draughtsman to join their Drawing office.

The role will see you working on a wide range of projects with varying steel structures for both our UK and overseas markets.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to effectively manage their workload whilst working to tight deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Complying with all relevant Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings, structures & associated items using Tekla 3D detailing software
• Preparation of detailed general arrangement and site installation drawings.
• Creation of fabrication drawings including editing to enable accurate steelwork manufacture.
• Prepare lists for manufacture & purchase
• Schedule bolt and location lists.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, of 3 days office and 2 days from home.
