Job summary

The Highfield Company seeks a Structural Draughtsman in Manchester to deliver 3D Tekla detailing for steel framed buildings and associated items for UK and overseas markets. The role requires excellent organisational skills to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

You will prepare general arrangements, site installation drawings, fabrication drawings and fabrication lists, while adhering to quality and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar draughting role.
• Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in steel framing and 3D detailing.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings and structures using Tekla.
• Preparation of detailed general arrangement and site installation drawings.
• Creation of fabrication drawings and editing for manufacturing accuracy.
• Prepare lists for manufacture and purchase; schedule bolt/location lists.
• Adhere to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

Role: Structural Draughtsman
Location: Manchester
Salary £40,000 - £50,000

Our client are a leading global steel business, with a solid reputation and can boast some of the UK's most prestigious projects to date.

Due to continued success they are now seeking an additional Draughtsman to join their Drawing office.

The role will see you working on a wide range of projects with varying steel structures for both our UK and overseas markets.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to effectively manage their workload whilst working to tight deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Complying with all relevant Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings, structures & associated items using Tekla 3D detailing software
• Preparation of detailed general arrangement and site installation drawings.
• Creation of fabrication drawings including editing to enable accurate steelwork manufacture.
• Prepare lists for manufacture & purchase
• Schedule bolt and location lists.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, of 3 days office and 2 days from home. A competitive salary, depending on experience and a range of benefits.
