Job summary

Sunblink is recruiting a Structural Draughtsman in Manchester to support UK and overseas steel projects. You will create 3D models and detailed drawings for steel framed buildings using Tekla, ensuring accuracy for fabrication and installation.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) with a competitive salary (£40,000–£50,000) and a range of benefits. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and the ability to manage tight

Qualifications

• Experience in 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings.
• Proficiency with Tekla 3D detailing software.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings, structures & associated items using Tekla 3D detailing software.
• Preparation of detailed general arrangement and site installation drawings.
• Creation of fabrication drawings including editing to enable accurate steelwork manufacture.
• Prepare lists for manufacture & purchase.
• Schedule bolt and location lists.

Role: Structural Draughtsman

Location: Manchester

Salary 40,000 - 50,000

Our client are a leading global steel business, with a solid reputation and can boast some of the UK's most prestigious projects to date.

Due to continued success they are now seeking an additional Draughtsman to join their Drawing office.

The role will see you working on a wide range of projects with varying steel structures for both our UK and overseas markets.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role and be able to effectively manage their workload whilst working to tight deadlines.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Complying with all relevant Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• 3D modelling and detailing of steel framed buildings, structures & associated items using Tekla 3D detailing software
• Preparation of detailed general arrangement and site installation drawings.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis, of 3 days office and 2 days from home. A competitive salary, depending on experience and a range of benefits.
