Job summary

Studio West in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Technology Technician to support our multi-skilled department, setting up and dismantling equipment, and maintaining stocks for Technology, Resistant Materials and Construction.

The role requires good interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of health and safety and risk assessments. Desirable RM/Construction experience; benefits include LGPS, cycle to work, on-site gym, parking and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Technology lessons preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety and ability to carry out risk assessments is essential.
• Desirable experience in Resistant Materials or Construction.

Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle equipment and resources.
• Order and maintain stocks and supplies.
• Support in practical Technology and Construction lessons.
• Collaborate with staff and students to ensure safety.
