Job summary

St. Mary’s Menston, a Catholic Voluntary Academy, is seeking a Design & Technology Technician to coordinate practical resources and equipment to support DT teaching from KS3 to KS5. The role includes providing technical support, maintaining a safe environment and ensuring equipment is ready to use.

You will need a technical background, be able to multi-task, problem solve and monitor Health & Safety checks; good literacy and numeracy are essential and you must work well with young people.

Qualifications

• Have a technical background with experience in multi-tasking, problem solving and implementing/monitoring Health & Safety checks.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and working practices.
• Willingness and ability to work with young people.
• Effective organisational skills; able to work in a team and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate use of practical resources and equipment to support Design Technology from KS3 to KS5.
• Provide technical support and maintain a safe working environment; ensure workroom equipment is functional and ready to use.
