Job summary

Computacenter UK Hatfield is seeking a Technology Sourcing Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Process & Systems to drive changes across GTS and LTS, focusing on logistics tech services. You’ll join a collaborative team delivering system changes from requirements to implementation and hypercare, with opportunities to progress into senior SME roles.

This role requires strong SAP knowledge and 3+ years in a systems change capacity, plus the ability to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a systems, SME or technical change role.
• Strong stakeholder management across business areas.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
• Experience with SAP and logistics processes is preferred.
• Excellent communication for non-technical audiences.

Life on the team

You’ll be joining our Technology Sourcing Innovation (TSI) team within Group Technology Sourcing (GTS) focusing on Logistics Technical Services (LTS). This is a specialist function focused on improving Computacenter’s core systems, processes and system change projects.

This is a highly collaborative and technically driven team that works across the business, partnering with GTS, GIS, and TSI to deliver change and innovation. The team plays a key role in shaping how our systems operate and evolve, supporting large-scale transformation programmes that are critical to Computacenter’s ongoing success.

This is a varied and impactful role, offering the opportunity to work on complex system challenges, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to projects that directly enhance operational performance. You’ll be part of a small, expert team with strong knowledge-sharing and development opportunities, with clear progression into more senior SME roles.

What you’ll do

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert across core GTS systems, tools and processes
• Deliver system and process change projects from requirements, through to implementation, testing and hypercare support
• Identify and implement improvements to increase business efficiency and capability
• Analyze and resolve complex system issues including troubleshooting data and process flows across multiple platforms
• Drive in-life system improvements, BAU changes and enhancements based on business priorities
• Work closely with stakeholders across GTS, GIS and wider business teams to define and deliver solutions
• Translate complex technical issues into clear, accessible communication for non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to major projects impacting logistics, systems integration and customer delivery programmes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support innovation across systems and processes

What you’ll need

• Strong technical understanding of systems and tools, with experience in environments such as SAP (WM, SD, MM) or similar platforms
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a systems, SME, or technical change role
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple business areas
• Strong problem-solving capability, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system and process issues
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for a wider audience
• Understanding of logistics, sales and purchasing process dependencies

Desirable

• Experience with Computacenter systems, tools and processes
• Exposure to project environments or change delivery
• Awareness of platforms such as Salesforce, SAP & GWM (LTS systems)
• European language skills (French or German)
• Commitment to travel occasionally within Europe
